Leicester Club unveiled as Millionth Wi-Fi Hotspot

A Leicester social club is celebrating after being unveiled as BT's one millionth Wi-Fi hotspot in the UK. Club Triangle in Coleman Road, Leicester, which uses BT Business Broadband, recently installed the service, to allow regulars and visitors to connect to the internet.

BT has reached its goal of building a million-strong Wi-Fi hotspot network, the company announced today. Now the largest network in the UK and Ireland, the hotspots are available in homes, independent businesses, high street chains and major city centres.

Courts welcome installation of Wi-Fi

BT Openzone wireless broadband has been installed in 67 courts across England and Wales over the past three months to allow court users to take advantage of fast and convenient Wi-Fi in between court sittings. Wi-Fi will be available at signposted zones in most publicly accessible areas of the court. For a typical Crown Court this will cover the advocates' assembly room, the jury assembly suite, witness waiting area, public concourse, and cafeteria (where available).
